PCOS is the most common disorder in women. It is also the most common cause of infertility. 7 common factors including genetics and environmental factors have been implicated as the cause of PCOS. one of the main problems with PCOS is hormonal imbalance and women with PCOS the ovaries make more male hormones that normal. The ovaries where women eggs re produced have tiny fluid filled sacs called follicles. As the egg grows the follicle builds up fluid. When the egg matures the follicle breaks open and the egg is released. In women with PCOS the ovaries doesn’t make all hormones required for the egg to fully mature. The follicle start to grow up and build up fluid but the follicle is not released.  The follicles remain as cysts. As a result the female hormone progesterone is not made.
