I do a lot of shopping on eBay and sometimes I come across makeup related products at very cheap prices. I don’t know about you but I tend to buy things not because I want/need them, but because they’re cheap. Recently I did a shop on eBay and purchased a few beauty related products so here is a quick review on whether or not I would recommend them.
10Pcs Cosmetic Make up Brushes Face Powder Blusher Foundation Kabuki Set
Ok I don’t know what I was expecting from this but the quality is terrible. Don’t get me wrong, the bristles are nice and soft, and I’ve never complained about the quality when blending out my highlighter….but the brush itself literally fell apart. You could feel that they’re about to fall apart when you buy them, but I was hoping for more than one use before it did. If you’re into DIY then you can simply glue the two parts back together, but that’s not me so in the bin they go. In regards to the product itself, it arrived how it looked in the photo. Wrapped in a clear plastic bag, it did look nice and I was actually excited to try them, but that was quickly ruined.
2. Highlighter Rainbow Eyeshadow Mineral Sleek Powder 3D Face Naked Smoky Makeup
Price: £3.47 (inc. £1.88 postage)
£1.59 for this product…you know it’s coming from China. Well after the whole PRISM Rainbow Highlighter hype I found it difficult to get my hands on one due to a long waiting list. When I saw this I just had to have it. Of course I missed the festival season with the product taking around 30 days to arrive, so if you’re in need of this for the weekend then I wouldn’t get your hopes up. For such a cheap price I really like this product. The pigment is good and it has good staying power. For me, I wish it came in an actual container rather than in a small box….yes you open the box and the highlighter is in there. It doesn’t actually have a lid so you can’t take it out the box.
3. Aphogee Balancing Moisturizer 237 ml and Two Step Protein Treatment Kit 118 ml
After straightening my hair a few times this year (which I promised myself I wouldn’t do) I ended up damaging a few strands and lost some of my curl pattern. I uploaded my curly hair routine onto YouTube and a viewer actually pointed it out and recommended that I buy this to restore my curl pattern…so I did. This product works alright, just alright. It’s not a magical fix but my hair and curls definitely look a lot better after use. I’m guessing you’d have to use it for quite sometime before you see major results. It’s not a process you can do everyday – in fact they recommend that you use this product once every 6 weeks, which has been a bit annoying for someone like me who likes a quick fix. In total I’ve used this product 3 times and I would recommend buying it for anyone who has damage like me. One thing I didn’t like was the smell. Guys honestly it STANK! I had to hold my nose the whole times but I kept thinking it would be worth it in the end. Not everyone is bothered by the smell but I definitely was so take my opinion light heartedly 🙂
