If you need help applying you’re Glitter Lips then look no further. I’ve provided everything you need to know about the application process in a step-by-step instructions guide below. Be prepared though, when you look in the mirror, the results will blow your mind!
Warning: Discontinue use if skin irritation develops or increases. If irritation persists, consult a doctor.
Applying Glitter Lips
Step 1. Make sure your lips are clean and dry.
Step 2. Ensuring you lips are slightly parted, apply the lip adhesive to both your bottom and top lip, and then wait for white gloss to turn clear. The lip adhesive acts as a glue that the glitter will stick to, so do not to go outside of the edges that you want to cover or you will end up with a messy look.
Step 3. Put a towel on your lap to protect your clothes and then using the applicator, dip the padded end into the glitter and gently apply an even coverage to your bottom lip only. Do get the corners of your mouth and ensure all parts of the adhesive has been covered. If you’re finding it hard to lift the glue then lightly dampen your pad but be careful, too much moisture could result in the glitter sticking more to the pad than your lips.
Step 4. Once every part of the adhesive has been covered, lightly dab your finger over your lip to make sure there are no sticky patches. If you do feel any then simply add some more glitter over the area. Once this has been done and your satisfied, dust off any excess glitter using the brush end of your applicator.
Step 5 and 6. Repeat steps 3 and 4, but this time, apply the glitter to your top lip only. To make sure you haven’t missed any adhesive, gently press your lips together and roll them against each other. If you have missed any adhesive, your lips will stick together, which means you will need to apply more glitter to those areas.
Step 7. Using tweezers, carefully scrape away any glitter that has fallen outside the lip line. You can use a cotton bud but I would suggest something sharper for a more precise line.
Removing Glitter Lips
Step 8. Put a little bit of oil based make up remover onto a cotton pad and press it over your lips. Let the oil penetrate for 30 seconds and then gently wipe away the glitter. Repeat this process until all of the it has been removed.
Tip: If you do not have an oil based make up remover, then alternative products include cleansing oil, coconut oil, baby oil and olive oil. If you do not have cotton pads, then use a face cloth.
